How to lose weight Mels Womens Problem Page Cheating men dating
Too shy to hit the beach or get undressed for your new partner? No problem
here is how to flatten your stomach in no time.
Bloating
If you are bloated then you could have a flat stomach overnight. Avoid
carbonated drinks, chew slowly, avoid sucking through a straw or using chewing
gum and take pr-biotic friendly bacteria supplements. For more ideas on bloating

Sit-ups/crunches
How many times have you told yourself you will do sit-ups when you join the gym
but don’t have the time yet?. Bullshit - You can do these exercises first thing
in the morning, last thing at night or while watching the TV. Aim to do 3 sets
of 15 to begin and aim to do these at least 3 times a week. It only takes a few
minutes and it is best to do a 10 slow sit-ups than 50 fast sit ups. It is a
case of quality over quantity. Your breathing is important to ensure you are
contracting the muscles effectively. Breathe out on effort and breathe in on the
way down. Always hold your hands by your ears and not behind your neck so that
you don’t strain your neck or back. Do not lift yourself up to your knees as
these work the hip flexors and strain the back. Your lower back should be flat
on the floor. Sit-ups alone won’t flatten your stomach. You need to combine
these exercises with cardio exercises to burn off the subcutaneous fat.
The reverse curl
This exercise is easier on the back and helps you to tone up your lower abs.
Start by lying on the floor, with your hands by your sides. Lift your bum off
the floor using just your stomach muscles and keep your arms and shoulders on
the floor. Hold for a few seconds, then lower yourself back to the floor. Repeat
15-20 times.
Crunch and twist
This exercise is great for your love-handles and works the oblique muscles. Keep
your hands by your ears and raise yourself up slowly then twist your body - from
the waist, not your back or shoulders - and try to touch your knees with your
opposite elbow, i.e. your right elbow comes up and across to touch your left
knee. Untwist and go back to your starting position. Repeat on each side 10-15
times. Remember to breathe out on effort and in on the way down. For more sit-up
exercises click here.

Pelvic undulations
Roll your belly like a belly dancer by tilting the pelvis and rolling it up to
the spine into the chest and up and then roll it back by bringing the chest in
and rolling it back down.
Dance
All types of dancing are fantastic for burning calories and fat. It’s an
excellent workout for your waist too. Dancing burns around 400 calories an hour.
Yoga.
Yoga is great for your abs because it is good for your posture and the breathing
exercises tone your stomach.
Sit on a fitness ball
When you watch TV sit on a fitness ball to tone your abs because you have to go
use your abdominal muscles to balance on the ball.
Posture
To maintain a flat stomach you need to have good posture by standing up straight
with your muscles pulled in tight. This keeps the back strong and the muscles
around your waist will support the spine.
Hold it in
If you are lazy then hold your stomach in while you are walking or waiting for
the bus. It will tone the stomach.

Fake tan nightmare
I am really pale and want to look tanned. I have tried several fake tans including St Tropez which is supposed to be the best self tanner on the market but had no joy. It ends up looking streaky and orange even though I have tried exfoliating before hand. I have even tried the body moisturizers with a hint of fake tan but had no luck.
Last week I went for a professional spray tan at the salon. Again I prepared my skin before by exfoliating and following the instructions at the salon but to my shock of horror it ended up orange and patchy again. I just want it to fade but don’t want to go back to being pale.
I don’t want to go on a sunbed as it damages the skin. Have you got any suggestions?
Monika from Poland
You are sensible for deciding to avoid damaging your skin by going for a natural tan. It’s a shame you haven’t had any luck with the fake tans on the market. You said that you have tried St Tropez and exfoliated before but have you used the St Tropez exfoliator? It is essential that you use their exfoliator because it doesn’t contain limone like other exfoliators and this is what makes the tan go orange. If you still have no joy don’t worry all is not lost. There is an alternative way to get that gorgeous sun-kissed skin.
Exfoliate your skin before hand and then apply a wash off bronzer for the face and body. That way you get an instant tan so you don’t have to wait for hours for the colour to develop. The results won’t be streaky and you are not stuck with the tan for days as it washes off. There are different shades so if you have fair skin, go for a lighter shade so you don’t end up with that tango look. All the supermodels wear the wash off bronzing body make-up.
Burst veins and capillaries in the face
I am suffering from burst veins and capillaries on the face especially around the nose. They are embarrassing as I am having a hard time trying to cover them up. I have tried heavy foundations and concealers by top brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Dior and Bobby Brown. I have also tried to use green colour correctors as a base but they don’t seem to disguise the problem. It is making me depressed as I feel like I am going to be stuck with this problem forever.

Avoid using green or blue cooling foundations or concealers because they are not easy to use and in most cases they do not look natural. Green in particular can give a horrible grey tinge.
You need to disguise them with a microscopic amount of birthmark or scar concealer. Application is the key so make sure you use your index finger to rock the concealer into the skin. This will make your concealer stay in place for longer. As these concealers are specialist you may not find the exact colour match, therefore your concealer should be a shade lighter than your complexion. After applying your concealer you need to dust the area with powder.
Make-up to look younger
I am 45 and have started dating man 9 years younger than me. Have you got any good make –up tips on how I can look younger?
Jackie from Glasgow
Apply foundation in thin layers instead of an unnatural thick layer. Apply foundation to the eyelids as a primer base for eyeshadow and to give a fresh youthful look to the face. Never apply foundation or concealer to cover all of the under eye area. Only pat gently to areas that are pink or dark. Avoid bright eyeshadow and opt for neutral eye colours like brown and grey. Never wear eyeliner around the eyes or along the lower lashes. Instead apply liner softly to the outer corners of the upper lashes.
Avoid dark lip colours because lips look thinner and lose their colour with age and dark lipstick enhances this. It is best to wear a light shimmery colour on the lips so that they appear fuller. Opt for a glossy lipstick as matt lipsticks make lips look dry and old. Apply a pink bluisher on the apples of the cheeks and avoid peach colours. Don’t brush powder under the eyes as it will make your skin look dry and will enhance lines.
